For the 4th time in the past 5 years, Coleman Rodeo was nominated for Rodeo of the Year Honors in the PRCA Medium Size Rodeo category. The award was presented during the PRCA Awards Banquet just before the start of the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas earlier this year.
The Coleman PRCA Rodeo will be held in Coleman, Texas. This Coleman rodeo is held at Coleman Rodeo Assoc. and hosted by Smith Pro Rodeos.

- In 1936, the Texas Centennial year, the idea of an annual Coleman Rodeo began its inception. Nine businessmen wanted to do something special to celebrate Texas's 100th anniversary. On March 20, 1936 the following men organized the Coleman Rodeo Association:Joe Hedleston, Hoyt Craig, Ernest Bridwell, John Bost, John Grammer, Andy Isham, Harold Kinney, B.B. Nunley and Sam T. Cobb.
