Regarded as one of country musics best singers and writers, Carpenter emerged via New Englands coffeehouse and folk scene and sold millions of records, many of which have touched on feminist and political themes. Colvin came up through the Greenwich Village Fast Folk cooperative and after nearly two decades of relentless touring and recording, released the mainstream smash Sunny Came Home in 1997. Both ladies have released new albums, Carpenter with Sometimes Just the Sky in March 2019 and Colvins The Starlighter released February 2018.</p>
