- Helldorado Days started in 1934 in honor to help preserve the history of the West. For many years this event took place in Downtown Las Vegas until the location was moved outside of city limits, but with the excitement of Core Arena, the new multi-event arena, located at the Plaza Hotel and Casino the rodeo is returning to Downtown. With the rodeo returning to Downtown it is only fitting to provide the event with a new name, Las Vegas Days Rodeo. Renaming the rodeo allows a refreshing atmosphere while maintaining the importance of the event’s original tradition.
