The Annual Penn Valley Rodeo will be held on in Penn Valley, California. This Penn Valley rodeo is held at Penn Valley Rodeo Grounds.
PVCRA produces quality family entertainment in the western tradition with two nights of pro rodeo, Friday and Saturday.
- History
- Way back in 1956, a handful of local ranchers staged a one-day rodeo behind the old Fire House to help fund Penn Valley’s volunteer firefighters. The Penn Valley Rodeo became a yearly event and continued until 2004, when rodeo attendance declined and the rodeo was discontinued. At that time, Penn Valley residents and rodeo fans formed the Penn Valley Community Rodeo Association to preserve the tradition of rodeo in Penn Valley. PVCRA produced its first rodeo in May 2005. It has since added a Gambler’s Cow Series and Trail Clinic Series, and Summer Fun Gymkhana Buckle series.
