Queen Mary Food Festival

If your love for BBQ and chili is as big as a historic ocean liner, then Queen Mary’s Waterfront Cook-Off is the perfect place to be. The competition’s on fire at Long Beach’s Queen Mary Events Park as 50 of the best BBQ grill masters and chili cooks whip up their tastiest dishes, from smoky brisket to tender pork ribs to pots filled with spicy, Verde or homestyle chili. They’ll be competing for prizes and California State Championship titles sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society and ICS, so you know these cooks won’t be messing around. This packed afternoon of food and fun also features live DJs, games (beer pong, corn hole, horseshoe toss, a mechanical bull — just to name a few), eating contests and more.
