The celebration of the 75th Salinas Valley Fair begins at the Annual Fair Kick-Off on April 27th in the Orradre Building. Festivities start at 5:30 PM with a no-host bar and silent auction. Dinner will be prepared by the King City Young Farmers followed by the presentation of the 2019 Junior Livestock Auction Cover Honoree and live auction fundraiser. Dance the night away until 1 AM with Gotcha Covered, the popular band from last year’s fair kick-off playing cover tunes from past 40 years!
Over 500 supporters of the Salinas Valley Fair will be in attendance at this popular fundraiser for the non-profit Salinas Valley Fair and the non-profit Salinas Valley Fair Heritage Foundation.
Tickets are available for sale online now through 12 Noon on April 27th. Tickets can be purchased at the fair office starting March 15th through Friday, April 26th. Members of the Salinas Valley Fair Heritage Foundation will receive two admission tickets to the fair Kick-Off in their membership packets distributed on April 11th.

- The Salinas Valley Fair Heritage Foundation was formed in 2001 by a group of men and women from up and down the Salinas Valley who are dedicated to supporting and improving the Salinas Valley Fair in King City. By March 27, 2002, the Heritage Foundation became a 501(c) 3 and had more than 140 members. Today, the Salinas Valley Fair Heritage Foundation has grown to more than 300 members, from the Salinas Valley and beyond. The mission of the Heritage Foundation is...“to preserve and enrich the heritage of the Salinas Valley Fair and showcase agricultural industries to the community. It will offer support to the 4-H and FFA programs, create agricultural education opportunities, promote public awareness and support for ongoing projects sponsored by the Salinas Valley Fair in maintaining and improving the current facility to further service the needs of the community…”

- KIDS’ DAY – THURSDAY, MAY 16 Free Admission to all children 12 & under Gates open at 10 AM for School Tour Groups. Free Admission for teachers and school tour adult chaperones before 11 AM. SENIOR DAY – FRIDAY, MAY 17 Free admission to all adults 60 & over. Senior Day Refreshments served in the Long Branch at 10:30 AM followed by special entertainment at 11 AM. SPECIAL KIDS’ DAY – FRIDAY, MAY 18 Sponsored by Capitol Concessions Free admission for special education tour groups. ARMED FORCES DAY – SATURDAY, MAY 19 Free Admission to all active duty military personnel and their dependents with Military ID. Free admission to military civilian employees and military contractors. ID required for discount.
